Where SMS or WhatsApp updates are offered, choose SMS and WhatsApp consent separately after booking and verify your phone with an SMS code to enable your choices. This is optional: skipping it does not cancel your booking or confirm a pending request.

Verify access to your appointment to check its status, cancel when eligible, request a different time, or message the team. A requested time changes only after the team approves it.

Can clients book without creating an account?+
Yes. Clients book through your public page with their name and contact details. They do not need a password. To manage an appointment, they verify access; clients with an email address can also use an email code to see visits with your business.
Does scanning a QR code show private bookings?+
The permanent customer QR opens your branded portal. Only a valid verified session shows private bookings immediately. First-time visitors and clients whose sessions have expired can book a visit or verify access by email. Having registered previously does not bypass verification.
Can I add a booking while I am on the phone?+
Yes. The owner calendar is designed for fast manual booking: choose a time slot, enter the client name, pick reminder channels, and save.
Does Schedl take a marketplace commission?+
No. Schedl is subscription software. You keep your client relationship and do not pay a marketplace percentage on new-client bookings.
Is Schedl only for salons and barbers?+
Salons and barbers are a natural fit, but Schedl also has booking workflows for massage and spa services, tattoo studios, auto repair, and other appointment-based businesses. It works best when a client books a service with a professional. It does not manage separate room or equipment capacity.
Which appointment reminders are included?+
Email reminders are free on every plan. Texts and WhatsApp use message credits: Starter includes 1,000 a month and Pro 3,000, and any plan can buy extra credits. A text to a US or Canadian number uses about 3 credits, WhatsApp about 1, and email is free. Prices differ by country. Free supports one bookable professional and 100 bookings created per month. Solo adds unlimited bookings, a calendar feed for your phone, and removes the Schedl badge. Starter adds text and WhatsApp reminders, reports, and room for a team. Pro adds repeat appointments, waitlist offers, and unlimited professionals. All plans include a hosted booking page.
Can I accept payments or deposits through Schedl?+
Service payments and appointment deposits are not currently available in Schedl. Continue collecting payments through your existing provider. Schedl manages scheduling, and its appointment-value reports do not track money collected.
